Doors will not open

1

"All doors will not open" does not necessarily mean the same as "not all doors will open." From a strictly logical standpoint, "not all doors will open" is stating that the phrase "all doors will open" is false. It could refer to only some doors opening or zero doors opening. Practically speaking it would be used when some doors open and some remain closed.

There are multiple cases to examine, and I'll consider how each might be said in this case. Note that there are dozens of ways of phrasing each of these and that the London Underground probably has its own particular phrasing.

Every door on the train opens.
This would likely be said as, "All doors will open."

Zero doors on the train open.
This could be said in multiple ways. "No doors will open" or "All doors will remain closed" would be fairly reasonable.

Some doors open, but some remain closed.
This again could be said in multiple ways. "Not all doors will open," "Some doors will...

Hello there RealPGMR,

What a coincidence, this just happened to a neighbor of mine.

In her case the locking mechanism had closed without being in the door.

Take a closer look at the lock jaws.
Are they open or closed?
If it's hard to tell, compare to the other door.
They should be open enough to accept the post on the door frame

If this seems to be the case, to fix it:

Get a screwdriver, don't use your finger. Stand inside the door Make sure it's unlocked
Stick the screwdriver where the post on the door frame would normally go. Pull the door handle like you were trying to open the door while at the same time pulling the screwdriver towards you. The jaws should release. The door should close.

If this is not the case, we can check the alignment of the mechanism. Let me know either way.

Remember: Good things come to those who...

hi, hope this tread still works, same problem with the doors in chapter 17 on windows 10 pro.

I have tried....reset from last checkpoint....reset from continue story (or at least this is how it comes in Italian)....reset from choose chapter.

Nothing works...also tried to run the game on the lower video settings...nada.

my pc runs on a i7 5820k...gtx 1070 gaming x...32gb of ram in quad channel...i do video composing and editing as well.

Done the "repair" operation from Origin...nada.

Done the windows compatibility procedure...nada.

The strange thing is this...I first did the optional "mission" (not sure that's the name in the Engkish version) and than went to the door, but after I've tried the various resets and done the "repair" with Origin...now when I start the game...if I go to the door of the optional mission, I don't see anymore the "animation" on the case, the one you do the electrical tweak, just a blank box.

could not find...

Your vehicle has doors for several different reasons. First, they protect you from debris entering the car from the road. Second, they ensure that you, your passengers and your belongings don’t fall out into the roadway. Third, they play a role in providing comfort during summer and winter. Fourth, they help protect against thieves. However, they’re not foolproof, and problems can occur. If your car door won’t open, it needs to be inspected and repaired.

How this system works:

Car doors are relatively simple when everything is said and done. Your automaker most likely uses a series of cables and rods that connect the inner and outer door handles to the door latch mechanism. The door lock is also tied into this with a rod (usually).

When you pull the inner or outer handle, a cable attached to a rod moves. Depending on the setup, this either pulls or pushes the door latch mechanism, tripping it open. The latch unclasps from around the metal catch in the...

Hi everyone.

I can recreate this perfectly.

A320 - P3Dv3.

1) Use Fuel Planner to create a loadsheet.

2) Tick 'autoload with aircraft'

3) Start P3Dv3. From 'Scenario screen', I use British Airways A320 at Gatwick EGKK, Stand 25. Click OK

4) The sim starts at the plane is already in Cold & Dark state (set as my default state)

5) Turn on Ext Power and the two batteries. Set parking brake.

6) The right MCDU is lit. Go to 'doors' and try and open both cargo doors. Nothing happens.

7) Return and go to Load/Fuel Menu. It looks like it hasn't loaded the Load Sheet automatically. No values are showing and 'init loadshet' is flashing.

8) Press 'Init Loadsheet'. Values now showing in Pax, Cargo and Fuel etc.

9) Return to doors menu. I can now open both cargo doors successfully.

10) If I re-perform all the above steps from scratch, but without 'autoload with aircraft' ticked in the fuel planner...

Using a paper click in the emergency opening in the front does nothing….

Prying gently …. it can not be done gently, it’s like something is locked holding it in, if I would be in more “gentle” the plastic to door will brake. lol

(I’ve put it down one slot in the computer thinking the slot on top is tighter, therefore pushing in on drive causing it not to work. Then I’ve even tried putting it on secondary slave part of ribbon. Nothing is working.)

When I push the button I can hear the mechanisms … movement inside of something pushing as it were but nothing. (not a clank but an indication of something then touching something to move it.) Sooo I did the dreaded and peaked inside the thing… you know the little plastic gears… when moved they move very easily and the little ribbon cable does so also but nothing.

How can something have so much movement and just stop working? rrrrrrrr ...

Stubborn cabinet hinges are almost always the result of abuse. Hinges may start sticking if the door continually gets slammed or closed too hard, or when an object gets stuck between the door and the cabinet. When the door is closed forcefully, it bends the hinge or loosens the screws. When this happens, the door will not shut all the way on the top or bottom. Even if you force it closed, it will spring back out. You can remedy this situation by using methods that cabinet installers use all the time.

Flush Mount Hinges

Push the door closed with your fingers. Allow the door to spring back open. The door will fail to close at either the top or bottom. This means that one of the hinges is bent, causing the door to angle from open to closed at one end. Choose the hinge on the end of the door that is closed.

Fold a matchbook cover or piece cardboard of similar thickness four times. Open the door and insert the matchbook cover between the door and the side of the...

Garage Door Won’t Open?

Learn the fixes you can do yourself and which you may need some help

There are 6 typical reasons why your door might not be opening. 3 are what we would consider mechanical issues (caused by or derived from the machinery or working parts) and 3 are problems found with your motor (when the motor itself is not working properly). Some are DIY fixes and others you should get help.

Top 3 Mechanical issues:

Broken Springs

A very common problem that we see with garage doors. Torsion springs (across the top of the door) and Extension springs (those on either side of the door) are rated based on a certain number of cycles. When these cycles run out, or when a spring breaks/snaps the door can no longer be lifted by the motor. When this happens the springs must be replaced and we recommend calling a specialist.

Knowing 'How To Fix a Door' can save you both 'time' and 'money'. Many times all a door needs is a little TLC to get it functioning properly again. Review the 'Troubleshooting Guide' below to figure out what your problem is and how hard it will be to fix.

The door that is giving you trouble will likely be in one of these categories: (1) 'Entrance or exterior doors', (2) 'Garage doors', (3) 'Interior swinging' and 'Pocket doors' and (4) 'Closet doors'. Each of these pages has links to all the related topics for that door type.

Use the section on 'Troubleshooting Broken Doors' below to identify common door failures. Unsure of what type of door you are trying to fix? See the next section on 'Types of Doors in Your Home'.

Types of Doors in Your Home

God often gives us direction through closed or open doors, so keep your spiritual eyes open for them. Often they are unapparent to the natural eye.

Open doors

God will open doors for your work—1 Cor. 16:9. "...I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost, because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me."

Are you aware of how God is opening doors for you for effective ministry in the kingdom? No person should ever boast at the way doors open for them. The Creator of the universe just happens to be leaning on that door. We are so smug; to take the credit for the ministry we have been involved in, is as silly as someone applauding themselves every time a door automatically opens when they leave a supermarket.

We have to observe caution with open doors. Need and opportunity, for instance, are not necessarily God’s will. We may see more than one need, and we may have many...
