How do I activate my Cat5e+ connections int my apartment?

I really need to ask you some questions to give a exact answer, so I'll try to make my answer as complete as possible. The short answer is that YOU will have to "activate" the Ethernet jacks, there is no way that your ISP will do it for you, unless you pay a "most likely" unreasonable fee. It's interesting that you have jacks "all over the place". More then two jacks means there must be a hub, a place where all the cables come out at, so you can conveniently connect all the cables to a switch or router. Unfortunately, Ethernet signals cannot be hooked up in the same way as cable TV. With digital signals, each cable has to have a discrete connection to the source. If you use a router, you simply connect the router to your cable or DSL modem directly, then connect each cat5 jack to the ports on your router. Most consumer / home office grade routers have 4 to 6 ports to connect computers to. That should be enough to suit your needs "unless you have a insanely large townhouse". OK, here...

I'm living in a recently built apartment (2012 or so) and have dual ethernet (Cat5e+) and coax connections at 5 different locations across the floor plan.

Connecting my modem to any of these 5 coax connections across the apartment gets me network access.

My goal is to gain network access through the ethernet connections and use them to connect directly to my WiFi router and/or devices.

My thought is that I need to connect my modem to the panel in my closet:

Possibly also connect my modem to a switch and then connect my switch to the first 5 of 8 ports shown here:

I'm guessing each of those 5 correspond to the ethernet ports across the apartment.

However I have a flurry of coax cables that are identified only by 1-5 (some numbers have doubles) and after connecting my modem directly to each one individually, I found none have a downstream.

What am I missing here? What steps should I take to rig up my cat5e+ connections throughout my...

I’m almost living the dream. Well, my dream. My tiny dream. While some people dream about mansions or penthouses, I dream of wee little homes on wheels with snug lofts and crannies. I don’t quite have my wheeled house of dreams yet, but in moving to Japan I got pretty darn close. My apartment is the smallest I’ve ever inhabited, and I LOVE IT.

Once you have registered, you will be sent an email containing a link. This will be sent to the email address you have used to register. To activate your account simply click on the link in the email. This confirms that the email address is correct and genuine. Once you account is activated, you are free to search and send messages to other members.

If you don't receive an email asking you to activate your account, then you can request it again by clicking the "request new activation email" from the left hand side of the page once you are logged in. When a user creates an account with Cincopa, he/she receives an email on the email address which he/she used to register the account with Cincopa so that the account can be activated.

Here are the steps we can suggest to the user:

* After creating the account with Cincopa, you will receive the following message: "Your email is not yet confirmed, Confirm your email to fully activate your account".

Q: How do I activate my registration code(s)?

You receive your IncrediMail registration code in the confirmation email sent to you after your purchase. If you received the confirmation email in the IncrediMail email client you wish to register, simply click the 'Register' button (marked in red), as shown in the image below.
