With a bit of creativity and ingenuity, however, you can arrange the elements of your closet so that don’t have to give up storage space just because the ceiling is slanted.

Sloped ceilings make hanging clothes in a closet difficult, but if you put the closet rod at the highest point, which is usually the front of the closet, you can make use of the longest area of vertical space. Leave enough room in front of the bar to close the door without crushing your clothes, and don’t forget the empty space behind the closet rod. Install cubbies or stackable bins on the floor at the back of the closet or add a low shelving unit to hold off-season clothing.
