An anonymous woman provides a first person account of a day in the middle of January when she was notice a mark on the wall. In trying to recall the exact date of this remembrance, she calls to mind other images from that moment: a fire burning, the light cast across the pages of a book, flowers in bowl and the fact that she was smoking when she apprehended the mark.

It was a small black contrasting against the white wall and situated about half a foot above the fireplace mantel. These particulars stimulate a series of cause quickly considered and then cast away as to why the mark might be there. She rejects the idea of the mark being the result of a nail on account of the only reason to place a nail there would be to hang a picture frame. The idea of the picture frame sends her off on a tangent about the personalities of the...

"Intervention" is the fourth episode in the fourth season of the television series How I Met Your Mother and 68th overall. It originally aired on October 13, 2008.

The episode begins with Barney in old man makeup telling a woman that he is a time traveler, and that "young Barney Stinson" cannot solve global warming unless she sleeps with him. He then comes back a moment later and hooks up with the woman. Soon after, the gang is packing their things for Lily and Marshall's move to the new apartment and Ted's move to New Jersey. Robin states that she does not understand all the gang's sentimentality about their stuff, saying she packed for Japan in just half an hour the other day. Ted and Marshall end up arguing about who should pay the security deposit for the apartment.

Marshall says that Ted should pay it, citing a piece of missing plaster in the wall (it fell off when Ted put his shelf of World Book encyclopedias on it) and a chip in the ceiling (made when Ted...

I have had those moments when I'm getting dressed for a more than casual occasion and I take out my white blouse to wear, put it on, and then when reviewing myself in the mirror realize I have a noticeable scorch mark on the side. Blast. I may not be able to rid my blouse of the stain in time for my job interview, but fortunately I can remove it in time for church on Sunday.

There are a few different ways you can go about removing that pesky stain:

Dip a random piece of fabric in hydrogen peroxide, place it on the stain, and iron over it until the stain comes out. This works on linen and white cotton. If the fabric is cotton, when you scorch it while ironing, place it immediately in cold water for 24 hours and the stain should come out. You can also rub white vinegar on the stain followed by rubbing it with cold water. The stain should come out and you can continue ironing (if you don't desire to wash out that unpleasant vinegar smell). Try rubbing lemon juice on the...

Entire neighborhoods were scorched beyond recognition in the Santa Rosa, California area, after fast-moving wildfires tore through, killing at least 11 people in Sonoma County.

Add California Wildfires as an interest to stay up to date on the latest California Wildfires news, video, and analysis from ABC News.

Resident Joshua Corbett posted these photos on Instagram, writing, "This used to be a where I lived. The neighborhood is gone."

"I tried digging through the debris hoping something of mine was still there. Nothing," Corbett wrote. "I thankfully have most my clothes, and whatever valuables I could throw into my car in the 20-minute period between waking up and being forced to leave despite wanting to grab more of my things. It wasn't the fire that made me decide to stop packing. The smoke was too much, I couldn't handle it. Being out there was surreal, everything is burnt and destroyed."

Chapter 2

The Beast Identified

"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy." Revelation 13:1,2.

Here is the beast that has the dreaded mark. This mark we definitely don't want! The most awful warning of all time is directed against it (see Rev. 14:9,10). But before we learn what the mark is, we must discover who the beast is. And it won't be hard. In fact, the Bible makes it so clear that I'll simply list the characteristics of it, and you'll be able to tell me who it is! Are you ready?

1) A "beast" in prophecy represents a kingdom, a nation, a power. The prophetic book of Daniel tells us - "Thus he said, the fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth." Daniel 7:23.

2) This beast comes up out of the "sea." When a beast arises from the "sea," it...
